We share two quotes, from María and Selvia, that describe the importance of our CIDAI program.
Maria, single mother of a child beneficiary of CIDAI “CEPIA has supported me in many ways and helped me taking care of my son”.
Selvia: “I really felt CEPIA´s support. I arrived in this country with absolutely nothing, this place is my family and a very important for the health of my kids. Today my son graduated from sixth grade thanks to CEPIA”.
The program gets stronger every day. There are already 110 children and adolescents who regularly attend our community center to receive art, sports, education, health, and music.
15 women in conditions of extreme vulnerability receive help from CEPIA. In return, they offer different kinds of services such as cleaning and help in our little store.
In this way, we promote empowering, breaking violent situations and developing self-esteem.
CIDAI ACTIVITIES
We celebrated World Handwashing Day and offered workshops with the nursing students of the U. Latina. We also had a Culture Day and Diversity celebration.
We held a costume party with 46 boys and girls and carried a beach up cleaning in Flamingo together with the Margaritaville Hotel.
We thank Katte’s donation for letting us celebrate all the birthday of our children and adolescents.
We also celebrated World Children’s Day with a mini music festival and participated in recreational activities.
